Let The Cranes Fly

Let The Cranes Fly

LET THE CRANES FLY

The 'Let Cranes Fly' team, initiated between 2013-2023 through the collaboration of Brisa and WWF- Turkey in the Çukurova Delta, researched the population and behaviors of cranes in the delta as well as the threats to the species. They held discussions with authorities and local communities to take necessary measures. As a result, with increasing awareness each year, the Çukurova Delta has become a much safer haven for cranes.

Allı Turnam Folk Song at Play For Nature

As part of the 'Let Cranes Fly' project, we collaborated with the 'Play For Nature' group, which utilizes the universality of music to raise awareness about environmental issues. Together with Brisa employees, WWF Turkey employees, and WWF business partners, we performed the folk song 'Allı Turnam' to raise awareness for the crane species facing the threat of extinction.

Thinking that "awareness starts from a young age", we have prepared books about cranes in cooperation with WWF that provide information about different species of cranes for children and young people aged 6-18.

The educational booklets prepared by the International Crane Foundation for the use of children of school-age and teachers have been translated into Turkish by WWF Turkey within the scope of the “Let The Cranes Fly” project carried out with the support of Brisa.

The crane education booklets geared towards the 6-18 age range consist of 8 separately designed different booklets for teachers and students. The booklets, which contain various games, activities, stories and interesting facts depending on the age group, aim to raise awareness about cranes from a young age.

You can download the booklets from the following link in pdf format.

We wish you an enjoyable reading time.
