We Grow Technology In These Lands…

As Brisa, we have been continuing our R&D activities since 1985. Making end-user experience our priority, we are developing products according to the needs of the market at our R&D Center located in our İzmit Manufacturing Plant. The most advanced projects of Turkish engineering are being developed at our R&D Center, which has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2017.

Tyre is an advanced technology product that consists of 80 different types of raw materials and 20 different types of compounds. In the field of R&D, we focus on providing new products as demanded by the market in a shorter time span, developing products at world standards with new generation technologies, innovative production techniques and raw materials that will enable us to strengthen in international competition, and we are working on domestic technology development and designs that will reduce the international dependence of the industry. The Brisa R&D Center leads the most advanced projects of Turkish engineering as an important experience center and school for the industry. Our target is to gain momentum and strength with Turkish engineers by delivering our technology and products all around the globe.

We are running projects together with Bridgestone’s technical centers on environmentally friendly nano-technology materials that increase tyre life while reducing fuel consumption, reducing the carbon footprint of tyre production, designs that focus on reducing rolling resistance, and decreasing energy and water consumption in production processes. Furthermore, our cooperation with leading universities of Turkey, such as Sabancı University, Kocaeli University, and METU, as well as leading organizations like TUSIAD and TUBITAK, and leading companies in the chemical industry continue.

We implement nearly 70 R&D projects together with our Turkish engineers on a yearly basis and we are among the companies that carry out the most R&D projects in Turkey.
